Purpose of the Role
The Cook is responsible to deliver services including breakfast, lunch and dinner to customers. They will ensure safe and compliant processes in the kitchen and food storage areas, and be answerable to the Hospitality Director day-to-day.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Cook include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the Directors on production of a varied and profitable menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner service
  • Providing weekly performance data to the Directors
  • Ensuring excellent standards of food hygiene are maintained during storage, preparation and cooking of all food
  • Monitoring inventory of ingredients to ensure adequate levels are maintained
  • Ensuring consistently high-quality food is delivered to customers
  • Creating a safe and compliant kitchen environment at all times
  • Managing cleanliness of the kitchen and food storage areas, including regular deep cleans
  • Day to Day housekeeping of the kitchen and food storage areas
  • Reporting of any health and safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Hospitality Director
  • Taking on Customer Feedback from the Hospitality Director and actioning any agreed changes as a result
  • Maintaining hygiene standards of kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining courteous and clear communication with all members of staff and customers
  • Creating a positive working environment for all staff
  • Demonstrating the company values and behaviours at all times
  • Meeting all KPIs as set by the Directors
  • Providing regular updates to the Hospitality Director as needed
  • Collaborating with other members of staff to deliver smooth service to events taking place in the function room

Essential Attributes

  • A friendly, can-do attitude with a passion for customer service and high operational standards
  • High level of competence in kitchen hygiene processes and food storage compliance
  • Experience running a commercial kitchen
  • Knowledge of allergy and intolerance legal standards and confidence to deliver them
  • Willingness to work towards vocational qualifications as deemed necessary by the Directors
  • Maths & English qualification at level 2 or above
  • Food health & hygiene at Level 2 or above

Desirable Attributes

  • Customer service or hospitality qualification at Level 2 or Above
  • Catering qualification at Level 2 or above

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.55-£13.50 per hour

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
